Philippines: Entrance to Postulancy
On the 14th of July, 2018 the fresh graduates of the OSJ College Seminary arrived in the OSJ House of Postulancy in Tagaytay. The batch under the class name “Silence” underwent a five-day retreat with Rev. Fr. Rodrigo Pecto, OSJ as the retreat master. After the retreat on the 21st of July, 2018 the entrance ceremony into the Postulacy was held during the celebration of the Holy Eucharist presided by the Provincial Superior, Rev. Fr. Jayson Endaya, OSJ.
In his homily he gave emphasis on the importance of human development in preparation for the more intense spiritual and religious formation in the Novitiate. Rev. Fr. Ronald Medrano, OSJ, the Rector of the House of Postulancy duly presented them to the Provincial who graciously accepted them as Postulants.The six new Postulants donned their St. Joseph medals to protect their body and soul. The six Postulants namely Bro. Post. John Rey Basañes from South Cotabato, Bro. Post. Eugene Emil Comia from San Jose, Bro. Post. Marco Dimaculangan from Padre Garcia, Bro. Post. Christian Jay Embad from Tagakpan Davao City, Bro. Post. Erick Nathaniel Escarcha from Lipa City, and Bro. Post. Oliver Macalintal from Alupay Rosario Batangas.
